To kick start our study of the genre “gothic fiction”, we will be exploring the short story, “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe. First published in 1843, the narrative is relayed by an unnamed narrator who endeavors to convince the reader of his sanity while simultaneously describing a murder he committed.
