Cinematography Techniques- Help!

As we have discussed in class over the past couple of weeks, Burton has an arsenal of techniques which he uses over and over in his films. Our discussions about these over the last few weeks led us to agree on the following techniques:

As discussed, there are many more. Some a specific to the techniques found in German Expressionist Films and some are more “Hammer Horror” style. Some are just recurring film techniques. To get you started, here is a list you can refer to. Make sure that before discussing a technique we haven’t talked about in class, you have enough understanding of how it works to be able to explain it to someone else and can think of examples to support your explanation.
